01 — The Treatment

What is paramedical tattooing?

Paramedical tattooing is a specialized form of cosmetic tattooing that uses carefully selected pigments to visually blend scars, stretch marks, and other areas of uneven pigmentation with the surrounding skin. The goal is to create a more uniform appearance and help clients feel more comfortable in their skin.

Will the results look completely invisible?

The goal is to make the treated area significantly less noticeable, not to promise that a scar will disappear completely. Results vary based on the scar, skin characteristics, pigment response, and healing process.

02 — Timing

How old do my scars need to be?

If you have a light scar, meaning the scar is lighter than the surrounding skin, the scar needs to be at least one year old. If you have a dark scar, meaning darker than the surrounding skin, the scar needs to be at least two years old.

How old do my stretch marks need to be?

Stretch marks must be at least three months old.

03 — Your Appointment

How long will my appointment take?

Appointment length varies depending on the size, location, and complexity of the treatment area. Your estimated appointment time will be discussed during scheduling. Most appointments take a few hours.

What will happen during my appointment?

Your appointment typically includes an assessment of the treatment area, discussion of your desired outcome, color selection and/or matching, preparation of the skin including optional numbing, and pigment application using a specialized tattoo machine. Aftercare instructions will be provided before you leave.

Does paramedical tattooing hurt?

Everyone experiences tattooing differently. You may feel scratching, vibration, pressure, or discomfort during the procedure. Topical numbing cream is available if desired.

04 — Healing & Sessions

What can I expect during the healing process?

The treated area may initially appear darker, red, swollen, or more noticeable than the final result. As the skin heals, some pigment may fade and the color will gradually settle. Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided for the treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies. Some clients may achieve their desired result in one session, while others may benefit from additional sessions or a touch-up after healing. This depends on the scar, treatment area, pigment retention, and desired outcome. Most clients will need approximately 3 to 5 sessions, about eight weeks apart.

Before & After Your Appointment
